This is what worked for me, and I hope it works for you as it has a bunch of people here on steam to get Uplay to launch from steam.
So if your computer was so bad that it couldn't run this game and you still bought it and now your all "Why no work." Maybe you shouldn't be posting your ignorance, in my thread. And as you embark on a desperate quest to rescue your friends, you realize that the only way to escape this darkness is to embrace it. A place where heavily armed warlords traffic in slaves. My fix isn't going to watch your baby, do your taxes, it's not going to upgrade your computers specs so you can play more games. Far Cry 3 is an open world first-person shooter set on an island unlike any other. If your UPLAY is launching don't expect my fix to help you. You might have the same problem I had IF STEAM WON'T LAUNCH UPLAY.
Okay their seems to be a lot of people reading this thinking it will fix all your problems. The Mod we're using allows steam to run uplay in steam mode.
